We like to use the best tools for the job. If you're interested in video as much as we are, you may be keen to know more about the technology we are using to record and edit.

We love everything about film-making and we take full advantage of all the benefits of modern digital technology to achieve results which only a few years ago were simply out of reach for smaller film-makers and producers.

Camcorder: Sony professional 3 CCD, widescreen and high definition model with an assortment of transport attachments. These provide tripod, shoulder and stable hand-held camera movements.

Tripod: professional Manfrotto fluid head model with very low to very high angle adjustments for both smooth and rugged terrains. The addition of a dolly wheel assembly make it possible to glide with ease on suitable flooring.

Other equipment: typically includes Sennheiser short rifle microphone to provide close, sensitive sound quality without the need for additional body worn radio microphone kits. A selection of different camera-head lighting units, generally for indoor use and favouring a PAG professional ENG (Electronic News Gathering) directional and convertable light assembly. The usual arrangement includes a dedicated camera controlling pan handle fitted to the tripod head. This unit allows easier and more fluid control of camera functions including focus, zoom, etc.

Editing: equipment consists of Apple Macintosh and Windows based computers running a number of editing applications similar to those used in broadcast television and Hollywood movies. The final DVD authoring is completed using Apple’s professional disc authoring software. Specialist composition and music editing packages are also used where any supplementary work is required.
